TO VOTE, GO TO THE "LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD" THREAD!
Following the Super Bowl, there will be the following mandatory cuts:
The Super Bowl winner must cut:
3 players rated 80+
2 players rated 70+
The Super Bowl loser must cut:
2 players rated 80+
2 players rated 70+
The loser's of both conference championship games must cut:
2 players rated 80+
1 player rated 70+
All other playoff teams that did not advance to the conference championship game must cut:
1 player rated 80+
1 player rated 70+
Any team that finishes .500 or above must cut:
1 player rated 70+
This will leave a player pool of about 45-50 players. These players will be entered into a "Parity Draft" where ALL non-playoff teams can participate. You may ask, why do non-playoff teams give up a 70+ player if they are allowed to participate? The goal is that they give that 70+ player up and have a decent chance to replace him with a 80+ player.
Parity Draft lottery:
Eligible teams will be given odds based on their point differential during the regular season. The team that has the highest negative margin (for instance: 140 pts scored, 400 pts allowed) will receive the best chance to receive the first pick in the Parity Draft.
The lottery will work as follows...
- The worst team in the league will be given 20 pieces of paper in a hat with the team name on it.
- The next worst team in the league will be given 15 pieces of paper in the hat.
- The third worst team will be given 12 pieces of paper in the hat.
- 4th - 10 pieces in the hat.
- 5th - 8 pieces in the hat.
- 6th - 7 pieces in the hat.
All other teams eligible (non-playoff teams) will receive 1 piece of paper in the hat.
The Parity draft order will be in snake order, meaning the first pick of the first round picks last in the second round, first in the 3rd and last in the 4th.
The Parity draft and lottery will occur after the Superbowl on the league chat room. The person in charge of the lottery must be a playoff team. No one participating in the draft may run the lottery picking.
If you can not make it to the Parity draft, please submit a draft list to someone who will be there. If you do not, you will be given the highest player available based on overall rating. If there is a tie in overall ratings, you will be given the player whose last name comes first in the alphabet.
